Emergency Repairs

How to request:

Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM:

If after hours: You will be asked to give your phone number and leave a detailed message. Someone will call you back.

Examples:

  • Flooding
  • Blocked drains, overflowing toilets, basement drain back-ups
  • Broken doors, windows or locks
  • No water
  • No heat
  • No power/electricity
  • Broken elevator
  • Gas smell
  • Unit lock out
  • Leaking where it cannot be contained
  • Breach of building security – break in or vandalism

Urgent Repairs

Response time*: Within 7 business days

How to request:

Examples:

  • Leaky taps or p-traps
  • Air conditioner repair (Mainstay owned A/C units only)
  • Mailbox key replacement
  • Clogged toilets
  • Refrigerator/stove/washing machine/dryer repairs
  • Graffiti Removal
  • Intercom repairs
  • Light bulb/light fixture replacement

Routine Repairs

Response time*: Mainstay staff will contact you within 7 to 10 business days to follow up.The repair should be complete within 30 business days.

  • Cracked windows/window screen replacement
  • Floor repairs
  • Wall plaster repairs and painting
  • Floor/wall tile repairs
  • Caulking
  • Repairs to cabinetry
  • Closet door repairs/replacement
  • Small plumbing repairs/adjustments such as loose handles, cartridges
  • Adjustments to door frames
  • Safety equipment repairs – smoke alarms or CO2 detectors
